FACILITY POLICIES

From time to time your child may be absent due to sickness, vacation etc.  It is imperative that you are aware of our guidelines and policies concerning absences.

  • Notification – Should you decide to not bring your child to the program, for any reason (ex. sickness, appointment, etc.) it is the responsibility of the parent to notify Blessed Beginnings Childcare that your child will not be in attendance.  Notification must be given prior to the start of your child’s scheduled drop-off time.  Payment is still due for days that your child may be absent.

  • Doctor’s Note – If your child is sent home for a serious communicable health issue, your child MUST have a doctor’s note authorizing his return to the childcare program.  This policy is strictly enforced in order to protect all children.  We will let you know, on a case by case basis, when a doctor’s note is required for a child’s return.  Payment is still due for days that your child may be absent.

  • If Your Child Is Running A Temperature - If your child is running a temperature your child should not return to daycare until 24 hours after the fever has broken.  They are not allowed to be on any fever reducing medications while in care.  THIS POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.

  • Holidays – Blessed Beginnings Daycare is scheduled to be closed for several major National Holidays.  You will be given an updated holiday list prior to the  beginning of each calendar year.  On these days, the daycare will be closed and parents are responsible for their own childcare arrangements.  Payment is still due, in full, for these days.

  • Vacation – Each family is allowed 2 weeks vacation per year.  You must notify Blessed Beginnings Daycare at least two weeks in advance of your vacation plans.  If this required notification is given on time then no payment is required for this time period.  However, please understand that this is only allowed for up to 2 weeks per calendar year.  Should you go on vacation for 3 weeks you would be responsible for payment for 1 week in order to hold your child’s place at the facility.

  • Facility Vacation – It is the policy of Blessed Beginnings Daycare to close for vacation for up to 3 weeks per year.  All parents will be notified about the vacation at least 60 days in advance (usually more).  Parents are responsible for making alternate childcare arrangements during these periods.  No payment is due during this time.
