Q: What documents are required for me to apply for Financial Assistance?
A: Please go to our Reduced Fee page to obtain all details containing financial assistance.
Q: Is my immigration status going to be considered?
A: Any child born in the U.S. is eligible for daycare, regardless of whether his or her parent is in the country legally. Many do not apply, for fear of deportation, and so their children cannot participate. We do not ask about you immigration status and it is not a factor in this program.
Q: Do I have to take my child's other parent to court for Child Support in order to be eligible for financial assistance?
A: The family's eligibility for child care subsidy is based on the need for care, family size and household gross income. You are not required to take the child's other parent to court for child support. However, you must disclose any support that you receive from the parent.
Q: Am I eligible to apply for financial assistance so that I can go to school?
A: Unfortunately, you are only eligible for financial assistance during the hours that you are working. Childcare is not covered for hours that you go to school.
Q: Am I eligible to apply for financial assistance if I am not working?
A: No, one of the requirements of the program is that you must be working in order to qualify for the program.
Q: Once I fill out and submit the application, how soon can my child start?
A: Once you have filled out the application and turned in your child's physical your child is eligible to start the very next day.
